On Thursday 4th January,  the Rotary Club of West Nassau welcomed Dr. Robert Robertson, President of the Bahamas Technical & Vocational Institute to their meeting.

Dr. Robertson presented on "Closing the Skills Gap in The Bahamian Labour Force Through Technology". In his presentation he spoke about the fast pace of changes in the work environment and how learning new technology-based skills can help prepare the Bahamian population for this new paradigm.

Being himself a Rotarian, Dr. Robertson also encouraged the members of West Club to get involved in helping young persons close this skills gap through mentorship and other such programmes.

The meeting was held at the Poop Deck at Sandyport.
