On Wednesday 14th March, the EarlyAct Club of Eva Hilton Primary School invited their sponsor club, the Rotary Club of West Nassau to their bi-weekly meeting for a special presentation to the Cancer Society of The Bahamas. The club had raised funds through contributions from students and the general public, which it was donating to the Cancer Society.
EarlyAct President, PaKeisha Griffin, shared with the club, how she came up with the idea and the efforts that the members made to collect coins over the course of several weeks.
All told, the club raised $350 for the cause. RCWN, seeing their dedication and hard work, agreed to match the contribution, making the donation to the Cancer Society a total of $700.
On hand for the presentation were President of RCWN, Chris Dorsett, Founder of the Cancer Society, Susan Roberts, and Principal of Eva Hilton Primary, Jermaine Butler.
