On Saturday, 10th February, The Rotary Club of West Nassau visited the Persis Rodgers Home for the Aged.
RCWN spent the morning feeding the residents of the facility and sharing time with them.
After breakfast the West Nassau Rotarians got to work, fixing an electrical wire that was a potential safety hazard for the premises.
The team dug a trench in order to move the power line from overhead, tangled in the trees to running underground to the gazebo. This will allow the residents to safely congregate under the gazebo and still be able to enjoy their favourite shows on TV.
About a dozen Rotarians participated in the event. Special thanks to VP Whittington for his company's team in doing some of the heavy lifting on the hands-on project.
