On Thursday, 1st March, PP William Wong, co-Chair of Road to Peace (RTP) presented to the Rotary Club of West Nassau.
PP Willie's report focused on the RTP Committee's recent trip to Vancouver and their participation in the Presidential Peace Conference. The co-Chair also gave a preview of some of the work that RTP intends to do over the next few months, including a Peace Symposium to be held in May of this year featuring Cure Violence – organization from Chicago, as well as seeking to bring the Peace Conference to The Bahamas next year February.
The day was made extra special as RCWN also celebrated PP Charles 'Unca Charlie' McCartney's 80th birthday with a rousing rendition of Happy Birthday and a cake. Charlie was on hand with his lovely wife Janeen to participate in the celebration.
